Andy Beverton: "I recently joined a 2 day self-rescue course run by Caff and found it incredibly helpful. Caff used his wealth of knowledge combined with our individual requests to provide training that was directly applicable to our group's level and climbing aspirations. Caff's teaching method is clear, friendly and flexible. He cares about ingraining quality, usable knowledge."
Dafydd Hughes: "Completed Caff’s 2 day ‘Self rescue for Trad Climbers’ course in April 2023. If I’m honest I was a little nervous in the cafe before meeting him on the first morning as I’m no pro climber. I needn’t have been because as soon as Caff arrived and introduced himself that evaporated. His friendly and down to earth demeanour made me feel at ease and we had a chat about what we’d cover and whether there was anything I specifically wanted to focus on so that he could tailor the following couple of days. Caff’s enthusiasm for climbing, experience and depth of knowledge is infectious and his ability to make the, what could be a ‘dry’, learning process fun and relevant was evident throughout the 2 days.
I throughly enjoyed my 2 days with Caff whilst being confident at the conclusion that I had the knowledge to deal with a self-rescue scenario if one was to arise - a pretty crucial skill for any Trad climber to have.
I would encourage anyone in two minds whether to book this course to go ahead - you’ll enjoy it and learn important knowledge and skills."
